WhatsApp history can move from an iPhone to any phone launching with Android 12

For a short while you've been able to transfer your WhatsApp history from an iPhone to a Samsung device, and now this capability is being extended to all Google Pixels too.

Not just that, however - Google is announcing that any phone launching with Android 12 will be able to do the same. So, in a few months, it won't be limited to just Samsung and Google devices.

The exchange works in a fairly basic way. Take the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro. All you really wanted is a Lightning to USB-C link. You associate your Pixel to your iPhone with it, and afterward, when incited during the underlying arrangement of the Pixel, you examine a QR code on your iPhone to dispatch WhatsApp and move every one of your discussions, media, and more to your Pixel.

The information safely goes between the telephones. Google says it's worked intimately with WhatsApp to guarantee that it stays ensured and no other person can at any point access your data and records. The talk history will essentially be replicated over from the iPhone to the Pixel, and keeping in mind that the exchange is in progress the iPhone will lose the capacity to get new messages starting now and into the foreseeable future.
